Watervilla by Architectuurstudio Herman Hertzberg, Netherlands
This lightweight floating structure (supported by a frame of hollow steel tubes) is permanently attached to mainland by a 8m long gangway but can be rotated by almost 90 degrees to increase solar gain and simply vary the view.
The design may be modified to accept a vegetated roof for further energy efficiency, and an optional floating garded may be added adjacent to the villa.
